Although we are always saddened and humbled by the forces of nature and its effects on the population we must stick with data when we are discussing climate change policy.
The following needs some ongoing conversation to ensure the reality of our situation is clear to all.
Its very clear that although the climate is slightly warming its not an emergency.
We have facts that show that our climate has warmed and then cooled 5 times in the last 10,000 years and has been warmer than now, and we flourished in times of warmth and suffered in times of cold.
Although CO2 has increased over the last few centuries there is no proof that all of the CO2 increase is caused by humans and there is no proof that increased CO2 has caused all the temperature increase.
Also, data shows no long-range average adverse weather, and environmental extremes are declining.
Also, reports show that disaster losses have been increasing but are not directly due to climate change.
We certainly have data to support that Hurricanes and forest fires, and the damage caused are not due to climate change.
Congratulations on your 100th issue, Hothouse Team! What a great milestone!
